McDonald’s supply chain earned a #2 ranking in Gartner’s 2013 Supply Chain Top 25.
The report observes that “McDonald’s stands out with strong new product launch capabilities, excellence in execution consistency coupled with a recent re-emphasis on a strong customer experience, advanced demand sensing and forecasting capabilities across geographies, and an impressive supplier collaboration framework and philosophy that underpins its “never-stockout” mindset.”
The #2 ranking was based key operating metrics for the industry leader which included:
- ROA: 15.8%
- Inventory Turns: 147.5
- Rev Growth: 5.9%
