Financial Management Solutions (FMS) Functional Consultant

The Job at a Glance
The FMS Functional Consultant works closely with the customer, team lead and technical consultant in day-to-day issue resolution, researching new functionality, and providing support. On assignment, consultant is located onsite with a primary client and may be called to other entities to assist in training or support initiatives. Responsibilities include providing functional expertise for Oracle e-Business and/or PeopleSoft Financial Modules as assigned.
Overview of Position Functions
The successful candidate will:
- Identify areas of process improvement and coordinate implementation of changes.
- Develop and document functional requirements, process flows, test scripts, test plans and perform system validations.
- Write or help write system specifications for customizations, reports, queries or other needed specifications.
- Manage and develop policies, procedures, and strategies related to the use, rights, responsibilities, access, and work flow relevant to Oracle e-Business and/or PeopleSoft Financial systems.
- Work with implementation teams to evaluate, design, setup and configure modules.
- Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage configuration (rules and tables updates) workload.
- Work with technical staff to troubleshoot problems.
- Develop and maintain end user training and documentation of system processes.
- Participate in continuous initiatives to improve Animato’s delivery model, develop new functional tools, improve operational efficiencies, and increase the effectiveness and re-usability of our application development efforts.

Skills and Qualifications
Candidates applying for the position of FMS Functional Consultant must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent experience required. MBA highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience required in an enterprise-wide financial/information systems environment including 2 years of professional consulting experience.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Oracle e-Business and/or PeopleSoft Application implementations or upgrades.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience is required including but not limited to; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Implementation and/or upgrade experience in one or more of the following modules: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Asset Management, Inventory, Commitment Control, or Projects.
- Experience with implementation methodology and change management is highly preferred.
