Project Manager Strategic Consulting

 
Position Requirements
  • Utilize prior experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and project management practices to plan a client project rollout. The specific deliverables include scope finalization, work-plan development, and resource assignments leading to project kick-off.
  • Apply SCA methodologies and tools in client project solutions and client proposals
  • Evolve consensus for the designed approach among larger client audience and use the standard process around that approach.
  • Accountable for carrying out the strategic analysis project in a scientific fashion
  • Lead project implementation using structured solution and methodology over the duration of the project. Conduct regular project reviews with team; anticipate and solve issues and concerns with clients as well as internal functions
  • Manage the project activities, milestones, timelines and budget
  • Internally coordinate with cross-functional teams ranging from Software, Database and QA in the execution stage of the project.
  • Enforce strict code of accountability in the team
  • Aggregate insights from large data sets to provide business insights to customers
  • Facilitate resolutions such data requirements, data validation, propose ways to address the gap to clients, validate solution, deliver client presentations etc.
  • Visualize business process re-engineering driven solutions for clients. Drive the use of standard reusable processes and tools for the clients.
  • Build solution vision and its implementation for the team
  • A key success metric for this position will be getting repeat business from the customer
  • Work effectively with minimum supervision
 
Skills and Experience Necessary
  • An ideal Project Manager will possess strong academic credentials in engineering, management or a related field along with demonstrable experience in using quantitative methods in large problems in operations and supply management.
  • A masters degree or more in engineering or management required – preferably from a tier 1 university
  • Manufacturing/Supply Chain experience of five years or more.
  • Additional demonstrated experience of at least two years in solving large scale problems using quantitative methods
  • Familiarity with concepts in supply chain optimization, sourcing and supplier management. Prior knowledge of operations processes and ERP solutions is a must.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and project management.
  • Demonstrated relationship management and client communication skills are required.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in client/team setting
  • Experience in writing proposals and getting repeat business is desirable
  • Experience in process industries such as food/consumer packaged goods is desirable
